Why can’t we use your Christmas lights that have previously purchased and have been professionally cut from another company?

  • All holiday lighting companies use different materials, and we always match the product so that it hangs right and the colors match
  • We are not able to guarantee that the previous company did a good job installing the lights and have left them in good shape
  • We are not able to warranty the Christmas lights or the installation when we are not the original installer.  You don’t just want Christmas lights, you want beautiful Christmas lights
  • There is no guarantee we are going to be able to understand how the previous company hung them the first time and how they should be hung again

We know that when you purchased lights you invested a lot of money and want something stunning.  We like to provide stunning work and cannot guarantee that with another company’s product.

WHY RENT LIGHTS INSTEAD OF OWNING

– Installers will only work with their own lights.
When you buy lights you are tied into a company (who may or may not be in business next year) who can change your prices as often as they like.

Companies requiring use of their own lights is not a tactic used to “get you”.  As an installer, we cannot guarantee that another company used quality products or that they cut your lights correctly (and efficiently).  Because of this we also cannot guarantee our work or warranty the service which ultimately leads to an unhappy client
– People like change.
When you purchase lights if you want to change your colors you must BUY new LED lights.  This is not cheap.  If you haven’t purchased your lights then you only need to pay a service fee for a color change
– Downsizing and upgrading happens.
Lights are custom fit and can only be used for one house.  If you move you are either left giving the lights to the new owners or if you have rented you are out NOTHING.  You will simply get a new bid on your new home.
– Quality matters.
Since you are renting lights you have no real long term investment in any company.  That means that your light company needs to win you back every year with the quality of their products, price, customer service, and warranty service.
– Storage.
When it’s time to hang your lights, you don’t need to dig them out, or worse, remember where to find them.
– Warranty.
When you rent lights with us, you have a lifetime warranty. If there is anything wrong with your lights, just let us know and we will come out and get them fixed.
When you own lights, the only warranty is the manufacturers 1 year warranty and does not include labor.
– Removal.
As the owners of the lights, we are highly motivated to come back and claim them.

LED Christmas Lights vs Incandescent Light

We are quite often asked “Why should we switch to LED?”  Four or five years ago, this was a legitimate question as the technology was still in it’s infant stages.  Today the reasons for moving to LED are many.

#1 DURABILIBY

LED bulbs are made to withstand the elements, not to mention being dropped, tossed or even run over.

#2 LONGEVITY

The verdict is still out with regard to the lifespan of LED lights–most are rated anywhere from 10,000 to 50,000 hours.  As of yet no LED Christmas bulb has seen that many hours to test these limits.  However, unlike the incandescent counterparts, LED bulbs are showing a longer lifespans by the simple fact that their plastic housing doesn’t break (unless hit with a hammer), the LED technology doesn’t “burn out”, also they run cool which eliminates a fire hazard (which should never be understated) and keeps the colors looking brilliant for the life of the bulb.

#3 ENERGY EFFICIENCY

LED bulbs were initially marketed to prove a HUGE improvement on energy costs.  This is true if you are running a “Christmas Show Down” type display.  Most residents won’t see a significant energy savings because they didn’t really feel a pinch on their energy bills to begin with.  However, because they are using less energy you can run more lights on one socket and not have to run multiple extension cords to different outlets and breakers.  In the end this leads to a cleaner look and cut.

#4 COLOR

Not many years ago most people had very valid concerns about color and brightness of LED lights.  My how technology changes quickly!  Remember the old “pure white” LED Christmas lights that looked more blue and sort of looked like they were vibrating when you looked at them?  YUCK!  The 3 biggest obstacles to getting the market to accept LED lights were the color, brightness and wave form rectification.  With commercial grade high quality LED lights all of these problems have been solved.  Warm white now closely resembles a traditional incandescent clear bulb with it’s warmth.  LED reds, greens, and blues are deep and rich (and don’t fade away like the paint on a hot incandescent bulb).  Even the pure white LED lights are very clear and truly a pure chilly white.  The flicker of the early LED lights has also been rectified in commercial grade strands that now have rectifiers built in to convert the AC current to a DC current.
